Justin & Ashley
This stunning bride and her groom quietly got married in the gorgeous Arches National Park but we began our day with an adventure for myself prior to arriving to the destination wedding location. My assistant/husband (his official title) and I started our morning off with a quick school drop off, our bags packed and some coffee to begin our 4 hour and 30 minute trek to Moab. This was stunning drive through the canyon with the train tracks running along side the car, the two way road and nothing for miles until you hit Green River and head south, downwards towards Moab. Suddenly you'll hit the red rocks and some deep red mixed with some teal amongst the rocks and you're there coming around the bend into the small but bustling town of Moab.
We met with our bride and groom at the cutest Airbnb, a townhome located downtown Moab. A two story abode, the groom was getting ready downstairs while the bride was upstairs finishing up her final touches before getting in her bridal dress. I arrived before the big dressing moment and was able to capture some stunning detail shots of the dress before it was worn. With the help of her bridal crew, the bride got into the stunning bohemian inspired gown, perfect for any wedding amongst the red rocks. With the final touches being applied, the bride met with her Dad for a first look and some tender moments before the big moment.
The Ceremony & Signing
We arrived to the stunning location of the La Sal Mountains look out point. We had the gorgeous mountain range behind us while in front of us was the stunning backdrop of Arches National Park. With a temperature of 87' and a little bit of cloud coverage to hide the sun, we began the ceremony with the bride's best friend as of the officiant, their closest friends and family members there to witness the nuptials of Justin and Ashley. With tears, written vows, rings, and a kiss to ring in husband and wife, they were married in the sweetest ceremony filled with so much love for one another and everyone watching. It was such a beautiful ceremony, perfect for this couple. With hugs and love after the vows, we started with some stunning group photos against the backdrop before beginning our adventure into Moab to start our couple's portion before dinner time. The bride and groom had dinner cooking at the Airbnb, just waiting to be devoured. We captured stunning the couples sets at the La Sal look out followed by a pull off location with the park that showcases a stunning backdrop of the mountains curving around the landscape. We then began our adventure out of the park to make it back in time to have dinner at the Airbnb as well as cake cutting and dancing with Dad.
With the sign of a pen, the license was signed and their married! The happy couple celebrated by cutting into their cake, pouring glasses of champagne, and sharing the sweetest dance amongst the bride and her Dad. A big congratulations goes out to the happy couple and a big thank you for allowing me to capture the wedding elopement of my dreams.
